As the founder and executive director of Hatchery LA, Spencer is passionate about coaching Innovators to launch their own Common Cause Communities. Over the past 25 years of ministry, he has explored his passion for arts, technology, and the church in both the written and spoken word. He and his family live in Newport Beach, CA.
Maria Francesca French
Director of Innovative Training and Creative Strategies
Maria comes to us after a 10 year tenure of working with theological schools that include Bethel University, United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities and Twin Cities School of Theology. She holds a Master of Arts in Religion and Theology as well a Master of Arts in Christian Thought. She is excited to begin her Doctoral work starting in January with Wesley Theological Seminary in the Cambridge track studying the
intersection of faith, theology and culture in a world where the philosophical landscape is ever changing. From native New Yorker to transplant Minnesotan to the last year and a half in the South of France, Maria started as a consultant with the Hatchery from its very beginnings and is happy to be on staff in this role working towards innovation and entrepreneurship informed by faith engagement and socially progressive causes. She is the founder of the new blog and online community nomorecircles.org which is designed for people of faith, namely Christians, asking questions past traditional notions of faith, religion and god.
Social Media Coordinator
Bridget is a South Bay native and a member of First Christian Church of Torrance where she dedicates a great deal of her time to the youth programs. She believes in the importance of being able to express and explore one’s faith freely. Having recently graduated from Chapman University with a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic and Corporate
Communication, she is using her marketing skills to help Hatchery LA gain the recognition that will help them positively impact even more lives. She has a passion for social responsibility and a strong desire to make a positive impact on the world.
Coordinator of Development and Community Relations
Founder and Board President of Family Promise of the South Bay which is a community-based approach, engaging both the local community, as well as houses of faith in the effort to combat family homelessness in Southern California. Through her experience with Family Promise she brings her social/spiritual entrepreneur expertise. She also brings her skills in networking coordination of 35 multi-faith groups in the South Bay in addition to creating relationships with local community and government organizations. She also comes to us with a long history in fundraising and donor development. She serves locally, regionally and nationally in the Disciples of Christ denomination.
